For starters, I wish I could give this no stars or even negative stars :,). This place is absolutely horrid and the lady running the place, Vickie Smith, should not even be in such a position to do so. She is rude, racist, and just down right terrible. The office she's in is trashy, the 'gate' is missing things, the bathrooms are wayy digusting(two of the toilets in the women's bathroom is leaking and one is leaking human feces now, and it's going into the men's bathroom, plus two of the showers don't even work, one looking like it's been out of order for a MONTH) and she yells at people for no reason! She yelled at these people who were in the pool for having children there(who were supervised, and had proper swim wear) and started to cuss and throw their stuff out. EXTREMELY unprofessional is what describes how she handled such a harmless situation. Plus, she yelled at my family for having our dog who was only barking at her because she came at us for 'speeding' down the terrible sand road when we didn't. So to end this, never go there, if you're looking for an rv park, go somewhere else, because you'll just waste your money on a place you can't even get refunds at. Also the sand gets everywhere.
The manager Vickie Smith is the rudest person I have ever met. She attacked us at the pool to the point we had to call the police we had three kids with us one was ours and she had them screaming and crying throwing our stuff out of the pool just because we had two babies swimming in the pool with us. the babies were in our arms she was worried the babies would contaminate the pool. they were in swimmers diapers so that would be impossible. After the cops left we left the park the kids were to freightened to be there anymore. so if you have kids I don't recommend staying there. she is a horrible bi#$#.
We stayed here for a week and it was a real pleasure. Very nice and peaceful surroundings. Quaint and comfortable. Very reasonable price too. Military & Govt discounts too! Will stay here again for sure. Very convenient to Ft Bragg.
We arrived at about 9:45 p.m., which couldn't be helped. We had reservations for almost a month. After calling multiple times, the manager finally picked up her phone & told us she won't do late night check-ins. She was completely rude. She didn't even care if we had our two young children with us. All area hotels were booked up due to a golf tournament. Just the worst attitude & unwillingness to help. We went to another campground that also didn't do late night check-ins, but totally helped us out anyway! Just goes to show it's all about how much you care about people and your customers!
Campground needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau, as well as the Department of Tourism, or the local Chamber of Commerce. She needs to be dismissed from this position and someone with some common sense that knows how to treat people needs to take over...If these amenities are being advertised but they're not there then it's called "FALSE" advertisement and is therefore against the laws of the land. Instead of all the campers that have stayed there complaining, why doesn't somebody do something? I was considering this place, but now I am NOT!!! Rude people bother me.
